Meet the Little Feet Family

Leah Mahanti
Founder & Forest School Facilitator
Leah has a background in child development and more than 14-years of experience in education and child counseling services. Leah has dedicated her life to uplifting youth and curating opportunities for them to explore the boundaries of their own potential. She found her love of the outdoors as a thru-hiker, spending months at a time living from her backpack on trail. When she had her son, Forest, Leah went searching for an educational philosophy that would allow him to thrive. She started looking for a school for Forest, what she found was Forest school. She completed her forest school teacher and directors training through the Forest School Teacher Institute (FSTI) in 2021.

Saraya Kang
Forest School Facilitator
I am deeply passionate about early childhood education and believe that each child is a unique individual with their own special way of expressing themselves. My role as a teacher is to nurture their innate gifts by encouraging their natural curiosity and guiding them to embrace qualities such as kindness, respect, and gratitude.
I am a sensitive and passionate soul who loves exploring, learning, and creating. My curiosity and love for adventure have taken me to incredible places, including Death Valley, Zion National Park, India, the South of France, and Hawaii. It was during my time in the South of France, while nannying and teaching yoga to my host family’s children, that my passion for early childhood education was truly ignited.
